Safe Space Manifest

We declare this a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone. Regardless of your gender identity, sexual orientation, race, culture, religion, or social views, you are welcome here. We celebrate diversity and the uniqueness of every person who enters this forest. We extend a warm welcome to all, including those who may have faced discrimination or stigma in the past, such as the homeless, drug addicts, felons, or sex workers. We also welcome children, the elderly, and individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities, and we strive to create an environment that is accessible and accommodating for all.

Our goal is to create an all-inclusive community that extends a heartwarming welcome to families, artists, musicians, and all who seek to uphold the values of peace and unity for future generations. We believe that every individual can find peace, no matter what they have been through in life.

We encourage and value dissenting voices, recognizing that different perspectives enrich our community and help us learn and grow. Above all, we want you to know that we love and support you, and we are committed to creating a safe and affirming space where you can be yourself and find acceptance and belonging.

Unfortunately, in life, we may encounter individuals using language or behavior that is ignorant or discriminatory. These actions can sometimes give the impression that such behavior is acceptable or even encouraged. We understand that it can be challenging to speak out against this type of behavior, and we want to encourage our community members to do so if they feel comfortable. Your voice can make a difference, and we appreciate your willingness to help create a safe and inclusive space. If you see someone speaking out against this behavior, show your support by thanking them and letting them know they have your support. Hateful or discriminatory speech or behavior at our events is strongly discouraged. We need everyone's help to eliminate discrimination, and it takes a community of people working together.

To ensure the safety and well-being of our attendees, we have a Core Safety team in place. These team members are not law enforcement agents, and they are not here to collect information against you. They are here to help you have the best possible festival experience. If you get lost or have a problem, look for someone in a neon safety vest, as they are there to provide assistance and support.

Our goal is not to "out" people or shame them for their past mistakes or moments of ignorance. Everyone is capable of growth and improvement, and we want to create an environment that supports and encourages this process. However, we take incidents of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and violence at our events very seriously, and we will ask that person to leave immediately. Our ability to resolve conflicts without the immediate need for law enforcement helps keep everyone safe.

We understand that it can be easy to become hypersensitive to every little thing that we see or hear, and we want to encourage our community members to give each other the benefit of the doubt and the opportunity to learn and grow. By working together and supporting each other in this process, we can create a community that is strong, resilient, and committed to positive change.

As part of creating a welcoming and safe space, we cannot allow certain actions and behaviors in this community. We want to make it clear that registered sex offenders and animal abusers are not welcome here, as their actions are deeply harmful and go against our values of respect and compassion for all living beings.

Our organization is dedicated to preventing and combatting human trafficking, as we are fully aware of the devastating effects that it can have on individuals and communities. We are highly committed to working with law enforcement and other organizations to raise awareness, identify potential victims, and report any suspicious activity.

To maintain a secure and safe environment for everyone attending our events, we have implemented a color-coded wristband system. Every attendee will be required to check-in and present a valid state-issued ID or passport, which is a standard practice at bars and major music festivals. Additionally, children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. In the case that someone wishes to bring a child who is not their own, the child's guardian must fill out a Parent Consent Forum providing their consent.

Attendees aged 16 and above may attend unaccompanied by a guardian, provided that they present a valid ID. Please note that entry to the event is only granted to those with valid identification. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe space for all.

The color-coded wristband system has been implemented to ensure the safety of everyone at our events. This system helps us quickly identify and provide support to attendees who may require special attention or assistance. For instance, attendees wearing a ORANGE wristband are children under 18, indicating that they require extra care and attention. Children under 16 must always be accompanied by a guardian or caretaker. GREEN wristbands indicate autonomous adults who are capable of making informed choices. Only those wearing PURPLE wristbands are permitted to enter Family Camp, as they arrived in a group with a child and are assisting with childcare.

We value the importance of childcare and strive to create a safe and supportive environment for families to enjoy our events. By using this color-coded system, we can better identify and support the unique needs of each attendee, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all. Finally, all attendees must fill out a Release of Liability Forum.

The Safe Space Manifest is more than just a set of guidelines. It represents a community that values and respects each individual who walks through our doors. It's a place where people can be themselves, without fear of judgment or discrimination. We believe in creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed and included, regardless of their background or identity. Together, we celebrate diversity and strive to create a world where everyone feels safe and accepted. The Safe Space Manifest is a promise to each other and to ourselves to continue building a better, more compassionate world.
